Carbon/carbon (C/C) composites – also known as CFC or CFRC for Carbon fiber-reinforced
Carbon) are overwhelmingly used for the production of braking systems for large aircraft.
Very promising applications as hot parts of aircraft propulsion engines are foreseen.
